
The Department of Workforce Development reports Wisconsin’s unemployment and jobs numbers set records in March.
The state’s preliminary unemployment rate dropped to an all-time low of 2.8 percent.
With the addition of more than 60,000 jobs in March, the number of people employed in Wisconsin has also reached a record high.
There are more jobs to be had.
DWD Secretary-designee Amy Pechacek says there are currently 142,000 open positions in Wisconsin for job seekers.
