Two people had to be hospitalized following a domestic disturbance yesterday in Sheboygan.
The City’s Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a home in the 1800 block of North 21st Street just after 10:15 a.m. after receiving a call claiming a woman was in need of medical care.
Once they arrived, they found a 51-year-old woman with numerous lacerations on her back and head.
A 22-year-old man who allegedly caused the cuts had fled the scene before officers arrived, but he was located shortly after.
He was also found to have lacerations to his neck and a stab wound in his chest, which police say were self-inflicted.
He was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
Criminal charges have not yet been filed, but it is believed they will be once the man has recovered.
