The door is still slightly open for a return, but Marquette star forward Justin Lewis appears to be headed for the NBA.
Lewis announced Tuesday he is entering the Draft, but he will retain his eligibility to return to play for the Golden Eagles.
Lewis was the team leader in production last season, averaging 16.8 points and just under eight rebounds a game.
He connected on 41 percent of his 3-pointers in Big East Conference games.
Lewis’ more than seven-foot wingspan means he could be an exceptional NBA defender.
He is seeking a guaranteed contract.
