A Green Bay woman accused of hanging two dogs from trees at a public park will stand trial.
56-year-old Pamela McNeill was deemed competent by a judge on Monday, as she faces two counts of Mistreatment of Animals Causing Death.
While the ruling means she can understand what is happening during court proceedings and can assist in her own defense, it does not address her mental state at the time of the crime.
McNeill allegedly killed her two Pomeranians in Pamperin Park in Howard on February 14th, and then hung them from trees, claiming they were acting out.
If convicted, McNeill could spend up to 7 years in prison.
