We have some additional information to report from the Wisconsin State Invitational Girls Youth Basketball Tournament in Stevens Point.
As we reported earlier, the Valders 8th-grade girls basketball team captured the Division 4 and 5 state championships recently.
The future Vikings finished the 18-team bracket with a perfect 6-0 mark while ending their middle school careers as state champions with a combined win/loss record of 177 and-25.
Their coaches are Dan Wagner, Todd Grall and Irv LaFleur.
Meanwhile, the All-Tournament Team from a week ago includes local players Zoey Siders and Audrey Wagner from Valders, along with the duo of Marissa Mehlhorn and Makiah Krause of Manitowoc Lutheran.
