Manitowoc County has planned another drug takeback event for later this month.
Residents will be able to drop off old prescriptions they no longer need at the Main Entrance to Holy Family Memorial between 9:00 a.m. and noon on Saturday, April 30th.
They will be accepting prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, veterinary medications, controlled substances, and supplements.
Pills should be in a quart-sized or smaller Ziploc style bag, while liquids, creams, powders, and medical inhalers should remain in their original container.
They will not be accepting any sharps, chemical waste, or personal care products.
The purpose of the drug take-back events is to help prevent the abuse of such drugs, and to keep the water supply clean.
There are also permanent dropboxes located at numerous locations around the county.
Any questions can be directed to the Recycling Center at 920-683-4333.
