The housing market is ‘fantastic’ right now. That comment from Broker/Owner Vickie Seehafer of Century 21-Aspire Real Estate Group in Manitowoc.
During an appearance on “Welcome Home” this week, Seehafer summed up the situation by saying the market is good for the buyers and great for the sellers.
“… keeping in mind that [interest] rates are creeping up a little bit but are low which gives you more buying power, keeps your payment low, you can purchase more square footage. And on the selling side, property values have risen significantly the past two years and it’s a great time to sell.”
She added, “There’s always that conflict….is it really a good time to buy, or I don’t want to pay too much.”
“It’s a great time to buy. That being said, if you’re looking to buy there are some things, especially in a market as swift as we’re in currently, make sure you have all of your ‘ducks’ in a row. Many of you have heard of us talk about get that pre-approval. That is very, very important. She went on to say there are some other things that go along with that which people don’t think about.”
Seehafer explains, “If you’re about to buy a home, or are thinking about buying a property, contact your [real estate] agent and meet with them to develop a game-plan.”
