The Cedar Grove-Belgium School District and leaders in Howards Grove are happy following the Spring election on Tuesday as voters passed a pair of referenda.
The School District had asked for approval of a bond issue of $21.5 million for improvements to the elementary/middle school and the high school.
The money will specifically go toward upgrading several classrooms in the high school and to create elementary music and special education classrooms.
In Howards Grove, voters approved a proposal to borrow around $500,000 for new playground equipment and to fix up the current equipment at some of the Village parks.
