A Sheboygan Falls woman has now officially been charged with the death of her 8-year-old son.
As was recommended by the Police Department, Natalia Hitchcock has been charged with one count of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, and one count of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide after she allegedly caused the death of her son Oliver.
He died in a Milwaukee Hospital on Saturday after being strangled by Natalia on Wednesday of last week.
Natalia was quickly arrested and is accused of attempting to kill her other child.
While being interviewed by authorities, Hitchcock stated that she was “worried that she was being sold by people on the dark web,” and that “people looked at her like a Russian spy.”
This apparently caused her to not sleep for the five days leading up to the attack and led her to want to take her own life.
As for why she attacked Oliver and her other child, police reports state that she said that if she killed herself she didn’t want her children to be abused, so she decided to “End his suffering with my hands.”
A candlelight vigil has been planned to honor Oliver on Sunday at River Park in Sheboygan Falls.
