A Waukesha County judge has decided the trial for Darrell Brooks Junior won’t be delayed until 2023.
Brooks appeared in court Monday with his lawyers.
He’s the man accused of driving an S-U-V through the Waukesha Christmas Parade last November, killing six people and injuring dozens more.
Brooks is charged with 81 felonies and two misdemeanors.
Judge Jennifer Dorow left open the possibility that she might give the defense an extra month to prepare its case.
The trial is scheduled to begin October 3rd, but it could be delayed until November.
