The Wisconsin Green Party is set to hold its 2022 Spring Gathering membership meeting on Saturday, April 9.
“No to War, Yes to Peace” will be the theme of the event.
Candidates seeking endorsement from the state Green party in the 2022 elections will be present. They will also host guest speaker Matt Hoh, a former Marine turned antiwar leader and Green candidate for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina.
The gathering will be held via the Zoom online platform. Members can RSVP and view the agenda for the Spring Gathering by visiting WisconsinGreenParty.org.
All dues-paying party members in good standing will be eligible to participate in decision-making and voting during the event.
Three members of the Green Party currently hold office in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin’s Green Party made waves in the 2020 election when presidential candidate Howie Hawkins was not allowed on the state’s ballot. This could have been a pivotal event; in 2016, Green candidate Jill Stein won 31,000 votes. President Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in 2020 by just over 20,000 votes.
