Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department will have a new patch on their shoulders soon.
Over the past several months, the department has been working on a new design for their should insignia and has landed on a design that highlights what the Clipper City is known for.
The patch features an American flag with the State of Wisconsin on top of it.
There is a star on the state where Manitowoc is located, with a ship sailing toward it.
The iconic lighthouse is also featured, along with the date 1876, which is when the City of Manitowoc was founded.
The transition to the new patch will take place over the next several months.
