Joleece “Jo” E. Bown, age 79, of Manitowoc passed away peacefully early Monday morning March 28, 2022, at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The former Joleece Taylor was born July 7, 1942, in Cumberland, daughter of the late Robert and Rogene (Grover) Taylor. She was a 1960 graduate of Cumberland High School. Joleece was an Administrative Assistant for Manitowoc Cranes and was a Medical Coder for the Manitowoc Clinic. She enjoyed her family, shopping and loved to be with her friends. Joleece was a former member of the Red Hatters Society.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Derek (Sue) Bown, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Kristi (Gilbert) Moreno, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Megan (Jeff) Varughese, MN, Kaitlyn (David) Bach, Cleveland, Austin (Tarynn) Bown, CO, Kassi (Tyler) Duchow, Manitowoc, and Hannah (Irann) Valdez, Manitowoc; five great grandchildren: Cameron, Luke, Cooper, Cruz, and Eretria; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Jana (Tom) Markvart, Manitowoc, Chuck Binns, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Rogene Taylor and one sister: Jeri Binns.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 3:00 pm.
