Hard-throwing right-hander Corbin Burnes “found” his cutter Monday in a Cactus League game and looked a lot like the guy who won last year’s National League Cy Young Award.
He sliced through the San Francisco Giants lineup allowing only one hit in five innings as the Brewers won 5-2.
The only hit was a leadoff single.
After that, the only other base runner came on a hit batter.
Willy Adames and Rowdy Tellez bashed home runs.
Milwaukee plays at Cleveland this afternoon at 3:05 p.m. with Brandon Woodruff getting the start.
