The Scout motto is “Be Prepared”, and several scouts from Iowa were definitely prepared during a recent trip to Manitowoc.
The scouts of Troop 37, hailing from Shueyville Iowa were staying aboard the USS Cobia as a part of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s Sub BnB program this past weekend.
The scouts noticed that the U.S. flag that normally flies over The Wharf across the river from the Cobia had blown down in the heavy winds.
Without a moment’s hesitation, the scouts retrieved the flag, brought it back to the Museum, and folded it before returning it to The Wharf.
