The 24-year-old Dane County man convicted of killing his parents has been transferred to the maximum-security Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun.
Chandler Halderson had been held in the Dane County Jail since he was found guilty in January.
Halderson will serve a life term in prison without the possibility of parole after his sentencing last week.
His attorneys filed notice of their intent to pursue post-conviction relief.
A council will review the case and decide if there are grounds for an appeal.
