A 5′ 10″ high school guard who connected on more than 37-percent of her 3-pointers has committed to play at the next level for the Wisconsin women’s basketball team.
Mary Ferrito of Jonathan Alder High School in Plain City, Ohio announced her decision Friday.
She averaged more than 18 points and 5.5 rebounds a game as a junior.
Ferrito says both of her parents are U-W alumni and she grew up watching games at the Kohl Center.
She is known for her defensive ability and is flexible enough to play either guard position.
