Kaukauna was the team champion last night in the Earl Herbert Boys Track Invitational at Manitowoc Lincoln High School.
The host Ships wound up 5th in the 15-school field at JFK Fieldhouse, with 2 individual first-place finishes.
Mason Gates won the 1600 meters and teammate Zach Bergner captured the top spot in the 800-meter run.
Elijah Cornell placed 2nd in the 200-meter dash, with another runner-up finish from the 6-lap relay of Brett Prange, Anthony Oswald, Cornell, and Walker Linboom.
Three other Lincoln athletes had 4th place finishes including Ian Zabel in the 55-meter High Hurdles, Tyson Rupp in the Triple Jump, and Linboom in the Shot put.
Sawyer Krall and Anthony Osborn were 6th in the shot and Long Jump, respectively.
For Manitowoc Lutheran, Shawn Egerer was 7th in the 3200-meter run while fellow Lancer Sho Fukasawa was 8th in the 55-meter dash along with the 4-lap relay tandem of Kaeden Hagenow, Kaeden Storzer, Chase Loeh, and Fukasawa.
Tonight, the Pam Kjono Girls Track Invite’ will take place at the JFK, with Field events starting at 4:15 p.m. and the running competition beginning at 4:45 p.m.
