One game separates the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat in the race for the Eastern Division crown following last night’s Milwaukee victory.
The Bucks defeated the Washington Wizards 114-102.
The Bucks started strong, taking a 32-13 lead into the second quarter, and never looked back.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton both out of the lineup, Jrue Holiday paced Milwaukee with 24 points.
Grayson Allen also stepped up to score 21, while Pat Connaughton added 16 and Brook Lopez notched 13 points.
Since the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics did not play last night, so the Bucks now sit alone in second place in the East.
The Heat does play the struggling New York Knicks tonight, so it is possible the Bucks could fall back to a game and a half out of first.
Milwaukee will take the night off before returning to action on Saturday.
They will be taking on the Memphis Grizzlies with coverage beginning on 107.9 FM WOMT at 6:30 p.m.
