The City of Manitowoc’s Tourism team is now fully staffed.
While on WOMT’s Be My Guest program this week, Tourism Director Courtney Hansen announced that as of Friday, her team consists of RaeAnn Thomas, who accepted an offer to be the Destination Marketing and Sales Manager, and Erika Christel, who will be the Media and Events Coordinator.
As for what Thomas’ role will consist of, Hansen explained, “She will be handling a lot of that sales piece bringing different conventions, events, and bus tours to the area.”
Thomas also was a part of the Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau, so she comes into the role with a lot of experience.
Christel meanwhile accepted the role after serving as the Social Media Director here at Seehafer Broadcasting.
Hansen said she is “…excited to have her energy, her social media expertise, and the event background her had [at Seehafer Broadcasting] on board as well.”
Erika told us she is excited to serve the City where she grew up.
“Joining the Tourism Department of the City [where] I grew up and learned to love means so much to me,” she said. “I worked in a tourism department before down in Whitewater, and I absolutely loved it. What better position for me than to do the same thing but for the hometown I love.”
ReaAnn has already begun working in her role, and Erika will officially join the team on April 5th.
Hansen said she is “excited to welcome everyone into City Hall with me.”
