Milwaukee Election Commission director Claire Woodall-Vogg says she feels unsafe and she might leave Wisconsin if the Republican National Convention is held in the state.
Woodall-Vogg says she has been receiving threatening messages since the 2020 presidential election.
She tweeted last Friday that she might be working remotely during the convention so she wouldn’t be “hung in the town square” as she says some people have threatened.
Woodall-Vogg says the tweet was sarcastic but the threats are worrisome.
Many voicemails reportedly promised she would be harmed or thrown in jail.
