As Spring weather warms up and the COVID-19 surge continues to slow, many people are looking forward to meeting up with family and friends.
At the start of this new season, the American Red Cross encourages the community to be a life-saver by making a blood or platelet donation.
There are blood donation opportunities here in Manitowoc County between now and April 22nd.
The first one will be at St. John School in Maribel (14311 S. Maribel Road) this Thursday, March 24th from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Then, you will be able to donate at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (11303 Wehausen Road, Manitowoc) on Monday, April 4th between 1:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Finally, on Tuesday, April 5th at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will also be a blood drive
Donors can make an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
As a thank you to those who come to give between April 1st and the 18th, donors will receive an exclusive Red Cross t-shirt, while supplies last.
