The NCAA men’s tournament might not have ended well for the Wisconsin Badgers or for Marquette, but it was very good for the City of Milwaukee.
The city hosted games for the Big Dance’s first and second rounds, which early estimates show has brought in about $6.5 million.
Visit Milwaukee officials say that most of the roughly 18,000 fans attending the games at the Fiserv Forum drove in from Iowa, Indiana, and of course, Madison.
