The man accused of killing his children in Kaukauna has denied a plea deal and will go on trial.
During his plea hearing on Monday, Matthew Beyer and the state could not come to a plea agreement, so the case will be in the hands of a jury.
Beyer and his team had told the court that they were ready to enter a plea deal last week, but they have changed their mind.
Beyer is facing two counts of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide in the deaths of 5-year-old William and 3-year-old Danielle Beyer in February 2020.
The children were found stabbed to death, with an autopsy of William showing evidence that he had fought back.
As of now, the trial date has been set for September 6th.
