Taylor D. Schabusines
The woman accused of murdering and dismembering a man in Green Bay had another court appearance yesterday, but it wasn’t without controversy.
The hearing began with a disagreement between two lawyers looking to represent Taylor Schabusiness.
Public Defender Quinn Jolly and Attorney Heather Richmond claim that Schabusiness told them she only wanted them to represent her, but Judge Thomas Walsh ruled that Jolly, who was appointed to be her public defender, will represent Schabusiness.
Speaking of the suspect, Schabusiness appeared via Zoom video and was acting disinterested.
This action, and based on a request from Jolly, led to Judge Walsh ordering a competency exam for Schabusiness to determine if she could assist in her own defense.
The competency report will be reviewed during a hearing on April 4th.
