After operating for more than 100 years, Georgia-Pacific has announced plans to close its paper mill in Green Bay.
The closure of the Day Street facility will occur over the next 18 months, leaving roughly 190 people without a job.
The company is encouraging employees to apply at other plants if they wanted to remain with the company.
Georgia- Pacific did recently invest $500 million into their Broadway Street location and created 100 jobs in the process.
Mayor Eric Genrich voiced his support for the affected employees, thanking them for all their hard work over the years.
