The Green Bay Packers have taken steps to retain six of their eight exclusive rights free agents.
Offensive tackle Yosh Nijman and linebacker Krys Barnes could be starters this fall.
Also returning are receiver Malik Taylor, tight end Dominique Dafney, outside linebacker Randy Ramsey, and center Jake Hanson.
Wednesday’s moves mean safety Henry Black and outside linebacker Chauncy Rivers are unrestricted free agents.
Black played in every game as the Packers’ third safety.
He was Green Bay’s highest-graded special teams player.
