
The head of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association says when its member schools appeal decisions made by game officials it undermines the rules they agreed to.
The WIAA wants those schools to quit challenging decisions by officials in the court system.
Executive director Stephanie Hauser is referring most recently to the appeal filed by St. Thomas More High School after it was expelled from the state tournament following a post-game fight.
Edgewood High School took the WIAA to court last fall when it was removed from the football playoffs for using an ineligible player.
There’s nothing the Association can do to stop schools from seeking solutions in the courts.
