A man accused of shooting a police detective last January has been arrested after a standoff in Milwaukee.
Witnesses described a large tactical situation Tuesday that started four hours before Keasean Ellis-Brown finally surrendered at about 3:30 p.m.
The 19-year-old suspect is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
Investigators say Ellis-Brown shot off-duty detective Andrew Wilkiewicz at a restaurant in the city’s Third War on January 13th.
Wilkiewicz had stepped in to help a woman Ellis-Brown was assaulting.
