Authorities in Green County report one person was injured in the Sunday crash of a small plane near the town of Decatur.
Emergency responders were called to the Brodhead Airport shortly after noon.
56-year-old pilot, Delbert D. Devries of Browntown, and a passenger were practicing landing techniques when the 1975 Cessna experienced mechanical failure.
Devries says speed and weather conditions caused the plane to go beyond the landing strip and flip onto its top.
61-year-old John R. Musser of Freeport, Illinois was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
His injuries weren’t specified.
