
A Manitowoc man that has several open cases, including three with retail theft charges, was once again arrested.
Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department were dispatched to the Meijer store at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday on a report of retail theft.
The loss prevention team had apprehended the 36-year-old suspect, who admitted to attempting to steal two cans of compressed air.
The officers noted that the man, who has a history of substance abuse, appeared to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.
A search of the suspect also uncovered a 12 pack of Mountain Dew in his backpack, along with some chocolate pretzels, although he claimed to have purchased those.
He was arrested on four bail jumping charges, three felonies, and one misdemeanor, as well as a charge of Misdemeanor Retail Theft.
