The latest monthly report for the Manitowoc Police Department shows adult and criminal charges on the increase from last year at this time.
According to the February 2022 information presented at a recent Police and Fire Commission meeting, adult charges total 324 through February, as compared to 256 over the first two months of 2021.
And, the number of juvenile criminal charges has more than doubled so far this year from 12 a year ago up to 29 over the first two months of 2022.
Meanwhile, on the positive side, traffic accidents declined in February from a year ago, dropping from 131 to 112.
