The United Way of Manitowoc County has announced its brand-new COAD Disaster Relief Community Fund.
The County’s Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) formed in 2019 by the United Way, and consist of nonprofits, faith-based organizations, businesses, schools, and other community organizations that can play an active role in times of crisis.
Their goal is to coordinate disaster response education and timely dissemination of critical information and resources.
The COAD has already played a major role in helping the community, as they raised over $92,000 for COVID relief in the area.
This new fund aims to be available to residents of the area in case of an emergency.
If you would like to donate and help them reach their $5,000 goal by the end of the month, go to UnitedWayManitowocCounty.org/COAD.
