A Green Bay murder case from 2016 has made its way to the State Supreme Court.
Richard Arrington was found guilty of killing Ricardo Gomez in his home on April 2nd, 2016 in what was determined to be a drug deal gone wrong.
Arrington has been appealing that conviction.
Arrington claims his Sixth Amendment rights were violated when his conversations were recorded by a confidential informant while he was in the Brown County Jail.
The District 3 Court of Appeals had ruled in Arrington’s favor, but the State objected, and now the case is in front of the State Supreme Court.
Arrington is currently serving a life sentence and is not eligible for parole for another 30 years.
