The charges against a Green Bay woman accused of threatening to blow up a wedding venue have been dropped.
Amy Rizo was arrested in June of last year after police were told that she had made a threat on social media that she was going to blow up the venue where her ex-fiancé had continued to have a party that was supposed to be their wedding reception.
Rizo denied any wrongdoing, and the court agreed on March 7th, as they dropped all charges against her.
While Rizo and her friends and family are happy about this decision, they say Rizo’s life has been turned upside down by the false arrest.
She reportedly lost her residence and has been unable to find new housing, and has faced judgment and defamatory comments on social media.
Rizo’s lawyer, Shane Brabazon issued a statement saying, “This case should make any law-abiding citizen concerned. Although I hope no person has to endure what Amy has had to endure, I regrettably know it will not be the end.”
