Gas prices in Wisconsin and all over the country have skyrocketed since last week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, motorists in Manitowoc County are paying a whopping 66 cents more at the pump than last week, now averaging $3.95 per gallon, although the signs at gas stations around the City of Manitowoc mostly read above $4.00.
Not to be outdone, Sheboygan County reported a 67-cent spike to an average of $3.97, while Calumet County saw a 62 cent jump to $3.90.
Prices rose 68 cents in both Outagamie and Brown Counties, where the averages now sit at $3.98 and $4.02.
Kewaunee County reported a 60-cent increase from last week up to $3.93, while Door County saw the smallest increase, still reported a 49-cent spike to $3.94.
The state average also jumped 59 cents to $3.94, while the National average is up 56 cents to $4.17.
Prices are at their highest point in years, but the highest price the state has ever seen was in April of 2011 when pumps read $4.11.
