Jacqueline M. Kopetsky, age 90, a resident of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life with family by her side on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Jackie was born on April 26, 1931 in Biron, WI to the late Edward and Helen (Glowienka) Konkel. She graduated from Lincoln High School. On July 2, 1955, Jackie married James F. Kopetsky at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2015. Jackie spent a lot of her time sewing, and later found her talent of painting ceramics which became works of art. She then found a passion for quilting and creating canvas oil paintings. Jackie was an avid reader. Above all, she was a dedicated mother that loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include Jackie’s two sons, Kerry Kopetsky and Kent (Linda) Kopetsky; three grandsons, Brad (Mitra) Kopetsky, Tyler (Jessica) Kopetsky, and Nic (Tia) Kopetsky; four great granddaughters, Kylee, Ava, Mya, and Eliah Kopetsky; brother, Quentin (Francesca) Konkel; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Konkel; husband, James; an infant son; son, Kirk Kopetsky; and three siblings, Norman Konkel, Richard (Linda) Konkel, and Hildemar “Sis” (Arthur) Karstaedt.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Manitowoc. A luncheon for family and friends will then be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
