The Cedar Crest Ice Cream Parlor opened for the season earlier this week, offering hand-dipped ice cream from their Manitowoc factory.
They took to social media to note that Bernice, The Big Cow, invites patrons to visit her. The giant cow is unmistakable to passers-by and Cedar Crest says her presence Is to welcome folks inside.
Cedar Crest is known for its wide variety of flavors, standing at over 100, all made in Manitowoc.
The special flavor to be featured for the month of March is Cherry Cheesecake. It is described as “cheesecake flavored ice cream blended with cheesecake pieces and a tart cherry swirl.” Their website notes that limited quantities are available.
The parlor’s hours in March are Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. They’re located at 2000 S. 10th Street in Manitowoc, and for those with a bad sense of direction, keep an eye out for Bernice, The Big Cow.
