The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has fired basketball coach Pat Baldwin after five seasons.
His teams compiled a 57-and-92 record, including 34-and-59 against Horizon League opponents. The Panthers finished 10-and-21 this season after a lot of optimism coming in.
Baldwin’s son, Patrick Junior, chose to play for his father over Division One power Duke. The younger Baldwin struggled with injuries all season and wound up playing in only 11 of 32 games, scoring 12 points per contest and averaging just under a half-dozen rebounds.
The Panthers program hasn’t had a winning season in six years.
