Debra A. Lichterman, 67, of Two Rivers passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Two Rivers after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer.
Debra was born Debra Ann Haen in Kewaunee on August 31, 1954 to Norbert and Evelyn (Pardowsky) Haen. She graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1972. She was united in marriage to Dale Lichterman on May 24, 1974 at St. Hedwig Church in East Krok and the couple settled in Two Rivers. There she was employed at the Mirro Company for 31 years where she made many life-long friendships. Following the closure of the Mirro factory Debra attended Lakeshore Technical College for 2 years and graduated with honors. She later worked for Bellin Health in Green Bay for one year and at Aurora Two Rivers Clinic until her retirement in 2019.
During her retirement, Debra devoted her time to volunteering for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, St. Vincent De Paul of Two Rivers, and St. Peter the Fisherman Parish. She also enjoyed maintaining her beautiful flower gardens, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Debra is lovingly survived by her son, Darrin (Rachael) Lichterman; four grandchildren: Everett, Morgan, Annika, and Sawyer; her brother, Dennis (Rose) Haen; niece Chanda (Chris) Strzyzewski; nephew Jason (Joan) Haen; nephew Brian Haen; niece Angela (Matt) Schoenwald; nephew Kirk Caskey; nephew Shaun (Jenny) Caskey; sister-in-law Delores Gerard; sister-in-law Clara Kusiak; brother-in-law Joseph (Jeannie) Lichterman, brother-in-law Anthony Lichterman; brother-in-law Al (Barb) Lichterman; brother-in-law Michael (Sandy) Lichterman, sister-in-law Maryann (Gary) Brault; niece Debbie (Alfred) Allie; beloved dog Henry; and countless friends and extended family members.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale; beloved daughter Dana Lichterman; brother Lyle Haen; sister Geraldine Newby; brother-in-law Howard Newby; brother-in-law Donald Lichterman; and sister-in-law Dianne (Wilsmann) Lichterman.
A funeral service to celebrate Debra’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd Street from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and again on Friday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:30 am. Debra will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers.
