Law enforcement agencies that responded to a vehicle that plowed through a Waukesha Christmas parade in November have been reimbursed by federal officials.
Darrell Brooks Jr. allegedly drove his SUV through the parade on Nov. 21, killing six people and injuring dozens more. Brooks has pleaded not guilty to more than 70 charges, including six homicide counts.
Law enforcement agencies that experienced a significant financial impact from the incident and subsequent investigations have been allotted 150-thousand-dollars to help them recover from that impact.
The money has been released to the state Justice Department for disbursement.
