Madison police say a 38-year-old worker was killed during a tree-trimming operation Tuesday afternoon.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
A company was trimming trees in a neighborhood when a branch got stuck on a power line.
When another worker pulled on the branch, the electrically-charged wire snapped.
Investigators say the wire fell onto a company vehicle parked below and the victim was leaning on that vehicle.
He died before he could be rushed to a hospital.
