The Russian invasion of Ukraine is affecting everyone, including motorists in Eastern Wisconsin.
According to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, the price of crude oil rose “briefly to over $100 per barrel before settling back into the mid-$90s.”
This has caused a spike in gas prices all over the country, and locally.
Manitowoc County saw one of the lowest rises in the area, jumping 5-cents to an average of $3.29, while Kewaunee County saw a 4 cent jump to $3.33.
Sheboygan, Calumet, and Outagamie Counties each reported 9-cent increases to $3.30, $3.28, and $3.25 respectively, while Brown County saw the largest increase of 10-cents to $3.34.
Door County also saw a six-cent bump to $3.45 since this time last week.
The state and national average also rose 8 cents each to $3.35 and $3.61 respectively.
