As the world watches the situation in Ukraine unfold, many are left wondering what they can do on a local level.
The Door County Candle Company may not be winning the conflict with their response, but they are making it easier for the average citizen to show their support for the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
The candle makers located just north of Sturgeon Bay have designed a candle that resembles the Ukrainian flag and have sold over 3,000 of them.
In fact, the response from the public has been so great, their website crashed from all the visitors.
The owner of the company, Christina Gorchynsky has Ukrainian heritage and has stated that the yellow and blue, vanilla-scented candles are her way of showing her support despite being half a world away.
The proceeds collected from these candles will be going to an emergency response fund that will go to Ukrainians.
