A Saturday apartment fire in Janesville has displaced 18 people.
Emergency responders were called to the 12-unit apartment building a little after 6:15 p.m.
Arriving crews say they saw fire and smoke on the building’s second floor and residents were evacuating.
The flames were isolated to a hallway and were quickly extinguished.
No serious injuries were reported.
Fire investigators say the problem was started by an electrical malfunction.
