The WIAA State Individual Wrestling Championships ended Saturday night at the Kohl Center.
Terry Stake reports that the lakeshore area sent 30-wrestlers down to the state tournament, with 10 of them coming home with medals.
Brant Cracraft of Mishicot came home with a state title, while Cole Ebert of Reedsville, Kiel’s Evan Desellier, and Brillion’s Logan Mueller all returned to their communities with 2nd place medals.
Chase Matthias of Two Rivers earned a 3rd at state, while Gryffin Jonas of Manitowoc Lincoln, Ezra Ducat of Kewaunee and Brillion’s Garrett Kilgas all came back with 5th place medals.
Two other area wrestlers, Blake Delsman from Reedsville and Bob Huntley of Brillion placed 6th.
