Packer fans across the pond will soon have their first opportunity to attend a regular-season game live.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London will host a Packers game in the 2022 season. The Packers are the only team to have not yet played a regular-season game in the NFL International Series in its 15 seasons of existence.
Mark Murphy, the President and CEO of the Packers, said in a release that the team is excited to make an international debut, adding, “Our fans in the UK and elsewhere in Europe have been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to see the Packers play in their backyard and that desire becomes a reality this season.”
The team celebrated its upcoming trip to London by making the formal announcement on Twitter, accompanied by a recreation of the Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road album cover, featuring members of the Packers instead of the ‘Fab Four.’
The Packers have played in three international preseason games: Toronto in 1997, Tokyo in 1998 and Winnipeg in 2019.
Dates, matchups and kickoff times will be confirmed later this year.
