
The UW Green Bay Women proved they can bounce back from adversity as they defeated Purdue Fort Wayne 73-57 on the road.
The Phoenix were led by Appleton North graduate Sydney Levy, who drained six 3’s to accumulate 18 points.
She was aided by Callie Genke’s 15 points and a 13-point night from Hailey Oskey.
It was not as good of a night for the U.W.G.B. men, as they fell to the University of Illinois Chicago 81-77.
Freshman Guard Kamari McGee was the leading scorer for the Phoenix, accounting for 20 points, while Nate Jenkins added 14, Emmanuel Ansong contributed 12, and Cade Meyer added 11 points.
The men close out their season on the road tomorrow afternoon as they take on IUPUI.
The women’s regular season comes to an end tomorrow afternoon as well, as they travel to Cleveland State.
Then, the women will begin preparing for the Horizon League Quarterfinals, which will be held next Thursday.
