The bell ringers outside of 39 Festival Foods locations and customers were able to collect a huge amount of cash for Salvation Army posts.
Festival is reporting a total collection of over $615,000 through the campaign, with the Manitowoc location alone bringing in over $23,000.
Shoppers were given a couple of ways to donate.
Of course, there is the old-fashioned cash in the kettle option, but also, shoppers were able to add a donation to their grocery total.
$59,000 was donated using the at-the-register option, meaning shoppers dropped a total of nearly $557,000 into the red kettles.
Mark Skogen, Festival Foods President and CEO, thanked the shoppers who collectively made this substantial donation saying, “These guests make it possible for the Salvation Army to help those in need in every Wisconsin community where our stores are located.”
