
The City of Two Rivers announced changes in staffing, with two names having been selected as well as openings to positions that are soon to be vacated.
City Manager Greg Buckley made the announcements during Monday night’s meeting of the City Council.
The two individuals to be hired that were officially announced included Andrew Sukowaty, who will serve as the new Water Utility Director effective March 7.
“Andrew currently serves as Water Distribution Superintendent for Manitowoc Public Utilities. He’s been with that utility for ten years, starting as a meter reader, working his way through the ranks of plant operator, and for two years now, has been in charge of their water distribution operations.”
Buckley also noted that noting that the new director will be tasked with largely building his own team. “As you may know, we have a number of retirements coming up this year in the water utility, so Andrew will also have the opportunity in many respects to build his own team down there with three positions that will be turning over within the next year.”
Tyler Duessing will begin serving as City Electrician effective February 28.
Among the vacancies that have yet to be filled include positions with the Two Rivers Police Department, a Supervisor for the Senior Center as well as a Certified Water Operator.
One surprise opening is that of the director of the Parks and Recreation department. Terri Vosters, the current director, is moving to Kaukauna to serve as Community Enrichment and Recreation Director. Her final day on the Two Rivers staff will be March 11.
